PC Randomly Shuts Off During RAM Intensive Applications - Page 15

I've installed the G13 drivers and software... but it's a newer version that before so maybe it doesn't have the icon in this one. It's no big deal though.

As for the audio, I will try reinstalling all of them.

On a completely different topic... why is "reinstall" incorrect in my spell check? I use it so often I thought it was a word.

Monitor turned off and fans raised to 100%, PC lights still on, game audio froze but still audible (like skipping), pressed reset and nothing happened, had to power down then boot back up. No info in Event Viewer. I haven't updated Windows yet either.

So... RMA the video card now?
Sorry, I missed your reply.

Minidump is a 116 video TDR bugcheck as usual. So yep, next step is RMA'ing video card.

Hello Cyanide, any updates?

My wife and I are currently in the middle of a move, so no updates on the RMA of the card. I'll be shipping it out in a couple weeks.

As far as random shutdowns goes... none so far.

We're all moved in now, and I've been playing several GPU intensive games with no crashing whatsoever.

Then I plugged in my G13, played for a few minutes and crashed.

No video adapter error like before, but maybe it was connected somehow? I don't know.

GPU seems to be acting fine, for now.

Any ideas?

My computer shut down again while using the G13... but now my GTX 590 is idling WAY too hot.

GPU 1 is 38, used to be 34.

PGU 2 is 50, used to be 34.

What happened and why is this happening?
