Hiatus: Crunchathon is over

Thread Starter
Well, As you've notice i've been crunching for almost a month straight

~about 20- 25 days at full tilt.

I was called over by the F@H team to be a filler so, I'll be back in May for BGB, so tongue.gif Hope you can do without ~ 400k PPD for the next 18 days or

7,200,000 points.

I'll be sure to crunch harder than ever on my return though!

Have fun over at FAH for a while. You have had a very nice run, can't wait to see you back. thumb.gif

I try to have my feet in both, which was easy when I could let HPCS do FAH for me which left my sig rig to concentrate on BOINC. But now that the free beta for HPCS is ending it might be a little tricky to balance the two on one computer.

That 6870 wont put out much for F@H IIRC. You could just let it run BOINC while you devote the rest to F@H. That way we all win.

I run F@H every now and then and try to stay somewhat active, but I find BOINC more interesting personally. Just hope the BOINC Pentathlon and the F@H CC dont fall in the same time frame again like it did last year.

EDIT: I dont see this as you leaving, just your going to go hang out with the "cool kids" lol. You can still come over and visit the sub forum, but only if you leave one piece of hardware running for BOINC wink.gif

Haha, Maybe, just maybe.

Indeed, I like BOINC alot better, I'll miss my ginger, It gets pretty intense with BOINC,

with F@H, it feels like work. dull, boring tongue.gif slow.

haha.

But, the prizes are great! heheheh.

I wish BOINC got more recognition.

I know that im not going forever, but, 18 days is an eternity away from you guys frown.gif

I'm afraid that the CC is scheduled for the 5th of May once again. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif However, there seems to be some discontent as to certain aspects of it this year; there's a thread about it over in the FAH section. We'll see what happens...

I agree, FAH feels monetonous and boring lol. With BOINC you can switch up projects and run on all sorts of hardware in different ways.

There has and always will be a friendly rivalry between Folding@Home and BOINC. F@H brags they have the most PetaFlops or whatever while BOINC has variety... the spice of life!

So long as it's always friendly, no harm done I say! Berzerkly vs. Sandyford and all that...

LOL!
