This isn't really directed at you, but people get confused about this a lot.
Organic is just a term used to describe compounds that have carbon-based structures.
A compound being "organic" doesn't mean it came from an organism, or that there is any indication of life whatsoever.
I realize that, but what I was considering the armadillo would be a definitive representation of life
whereas an organic compound may or may not
represent life. The guy I quoted is right, organic compounds do not necessarily mean life
in and of itself is present. However he equated that with a dead armadillo which would represent life whether dead or alive.
