So I'm wondering if this is possible. I've searched a bit and found... mmm... well, this that seems to suggest it is possible... I think. But the tech level of the article is just a bit over my head to be honest. And I'm not sure if Virtu is something I can use to set it up, or if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
What I want to do is have my 1080p HDTV connected via HDMI to my mobo HDMI output, and to be using the iGPU to display XBMC and decode video for output there, while simultaneously playing a video game on my PC monitor, connected to the DVI output on my GTX 580.
My specs are current for the System 1.75, but if you look at the system's page, you'll notice I'm not done upgrading, I'm just waiting for Ivy Bridge. When Ivy Bridge is released, I had been thinking about the equivalent of a 2500k, but with this setup, I'd definitely want the equivalent of a 2700k, I believe. If anyone has any other suggestions on that front, I'm all ears. Also, is Virtu the right tool for the job?
Thanks in advance for any help!
