I plan to redo my overclock since it appeared to be very unstable with my X48 board and 4 sticks of RAM frown.gif

To test my cooling again
I set my q9550 CPU at 8.5 x 400 MhZ = 3.4 GhZ atm.
Vcore is at 1.275 v. in BIOS

My H50 is mounted on the CPU with a Noctua Nf-12p pushing air through the radiator into the tower. I've put some Arctic Silver 5 on it some months ago.
The tower is open atm. Ambient temp is around 21 °C

When I do 10 minutes of Linpack test with OCCT a core reached 75 °C which is about the limit for my CPU as I understand. The other cores were also around 71 - 74 °C

Now this does seem a little high to me, or am I mistaken? The thermal paste is rather old. I bought it years ago. Could this have a negative influence?

I'd love some advice and feedback thumb.gif
