General RAM question before purchase

Thread Starter
My CPU IMC is 800/1066. Does that mean I should buy 1066, 1600 or 2133 clocked RAM? Thanks.

1600 is the sweet spot in the market right now, definitely not the 1066 tho

That's what I was afraid of. I need to buy watercool capable RAM for my watercool project anyways. I just wanted to make sure I was understanding what I really needed. When I first bought everything for my build, I bought the wrong speed RAM (1333). So for my upgrade it'll be 2 Packs of stuff, Corsair Dominator 12GB PC12800 1600MHz. That should fix my memory problems. I hope.
