So for the rads, I'm gonna go with the SR1 360 and the Xtreme Dual 120mm.
I'll buy 10 Gentle Typhoons.
Any recommendations for fan controllers?
I don't want any colorful or LED ones. Just something simple and effective.
I'm gonna go with the Raystorm block and the PrimoChill tubing. Will 10ft be enough? Or should I get 20 just in case I make mistakes?
I'll buy those angled fittings along with the regular ones. Maybe use the leftovers on another build.
And the crystal link tubes are pretty sweet. I always though people put really small bits of tubing between their GPUs.
For the pump, I think I'm gonna go with this. The blue one will look sweet.

For the QDCs, I was thinking to have one set between the 240 rad and the bottom GPU so I can drain easily.
Is that a good idea?
Are these good?

1 female and two males?
The other male would be for when I need to drain.
At least I think that's how it would work.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
This will be my res

My coolant will be distilled water with Mayhems Deep Blue Dye and Petra's Tech PT Nuke.
I can put the PT Nuke with the dye right?

Once again, thanks for all the help.
+Rep

Those QDC fittings are a bit hard to get on but they work well and no leaks smile.gif. PT nuke works fine with die, but only 2-3 drops of Pt.

Liking the build. Also you could buy regular 680s and buy the blocks off eVGA, use your own paste, have more fun, be able to test your gpus first and save a few (10 lol) bucks.

Yea that's true.
But with shipping and whatnot, it's around the same.
And it's my first time. I wouldn't wanna mess something up.

for the qdc, you'll need to get 2 maies and 2 females, leaving one off it'll be a bit hard to drain it, i just plug a male or female end in without a tube connected to it to drain. if you could i'd make it to where each component has a QDC, i have 2 on my cpu, gpu, and one on my pump.

But will one set between the bottom GPU and the 240 rad be better than nothing?
Cuz I don't really like the look of them too much.

This is what I was thinking:
I buy one extra set of male and female.
To the ends of both, I put maybe like 6 inches of tubing.
When I want to drain,I disconnect the QDC between the GPU and rad.
I attach the male with the tube to the female on the loop.
And vice versa.
The one by the GPU will drain mostly by itself due to gravity.
If there is any coolant left, I can pull it out using a syringe.
I can also use the syringe to pull out the coolant from the 240 rad and res.

This can work right?
I don't wanna have QDCs all over the place, but I don't mind just one set.

I only have a vague image of your rig from the OP, but if there is enough room - place the quick disconnects between the cpu and gpu, that way you can cut off the waterflow and just drain the gpu from the bottom (by either cutting off the tubing or releasing the compression fitting), then follow up by removing it from the motherboard before draining your cpu (or you can just place the cpu qdc over a bucket and drain it from there, to prevent the residue water from leaking onto the gpu pcb).

doh.gif I have a Maximus IV Extreme, not Rampage. I hate their naming system. Anyways, I think it should still be fine.

The SR1 360 is 54mm and the RX360 is 63mm.
That should leave enough room I think.

I use the nzxt sentry 2. It has 5 headers and I am running 10 of the yate 80 cfm fans off of it. It is touch screen, but somehow, it is not flashy. It just looks like it belongs. Not sure how else to describe it.

That looks nice.
I was thinking of the NZXT Sentry Mix controller.
It has a really simple look and I actually like the numbered LEDs.

And any thoughts on my QDC thing?
I haven't seen any used for draining in that way.
I'm still wondering if it would work.

Thanks.

I'm on my phone, but I think I remember your question.

You would need the normal male/female fittings, then an extra of one. That way you disconnect the pair, plug the one side in to your extra fitting, drain. You just have to make sure you use the opposite of the extra fitting on the side you want to drain from.
