long use memory issue

hi hopefully this is the right section for this but here is the situation. I leave my computer on for a long periods of time i generally use it for gaming/school work. I started playing lineage 2 and there are features that require you to leave your computer on running the game client.

The issue that i am having is when i have say 2 clients open over night i would start to have issues with low memory. The question is this what should happen i never played games that i had to be logged in even when not playing so i never really ran into this situation even when playing higher quality games in my spare time i would have the computer on for possible longer then a month and never run into this but not i have to restart everyday.

Is this what should happen or is there some issues that i might not have been aware of with my hardware/software that is only shown under these kinds of circumstance. If this is normal what would help buying more ram? currently at 8gigs

Sounds like one of your running processes associated with the game has a memory leak.

Before you go to bed, CTRL ALT DELETE and open task manager. Go to running processes. Note down the top ten proceses by memory use.

Do the same in the morning and see if the top ten has changed and how much memory they are using. That should tell you which process is grabbing more memory.

As a comparison yeah. Can you shorten up some of the columns to the left.

Look in Performance Tab, Free Memory before going to bed; check it again in the morning... most likely, you will be low on free memory - while having plenty Available memory.
Just install more RAM or try one of those utilities to empty Available into Free.... never used one, though.
