Struggling to get stable @ 4.2 Ghz 1100t.

Thread Starter
Hello All,

I'm currently running my processor at 4Ghz with 1.425vcore & the CPU/NB at 2600Mhz with 1.325v and is stable. My cooling is the Coolermaster H100 which never goes above 40c when running prime/intel burn test.

I've currently got to 4.1Ghz with 1.475 vcore stable with prime/intel burn test etc. However, I've tried 4.2 with voltages such as 1.48, 1.49 but don't really want to go much higher.. what is the maximum voltage? and is there any way I could get it stable at 4.2?

I'm running out of ideas, i'm not an experienced overclocker

James

Up to 1.55+ is fine as long as temps are OK. But only for benching, I definitely wouldn't have such a high voltage 24/7. Though there are people who swear 1.5v is fine for 24/7, I wouldn't take that chance...

4.1Ghz maybe your limit, it is rear with out some series cooling and kit to get much more then 4.2 or 4.3

My 1055t is great 4.2Ghz 1.55vCore 24/7 (except summer), so don't be worried to much it you can't get it stable any higher.

Update: Enabled LLC to extreme, vcore @1.48 running 4.2Ghz the CPU/NB at 2600Mhz with 1.325volts. Primed for an hour & stable.

Is this safe? Temps below 45c on load.

It is safe, 1.6v Core with your temps below a max of 62 degrees Celsius is safe.

But after only an hour or two of Prime95, I would not say it is stable wink.gif

Once you find your stable limit then see if you can lower any of the voltage settings, whilst checking for stability each and every time. biggrin.gif

Best of luck thumb.gif
