RAM - Corsair CMP32GX3M4X1600C10 Dominator Desktop Memory Kit - 32GB (4x 8GB)
Optical drive - Asus BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS Internal 12x Blu-Ray Burner
*Vid Cards - 2 [http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=04G-P4-3687-KR&family=GeForce%20600%20Series%20Family&sw]EVGA GeForce GTX 680[/URL]

*Reservoir - frozenq t-res style

This will be my main gaming rig thus power is important, i'm not sure if I want to add an extra video card or not.. thoughts?

as far as price goes, my top max on components will be around 8k or so. hopefully my 800d doesn't end up quite as bad as http://www.overclock.net/t/1148869/corsair-carnage-now-with-index-thanks-to-superericla/0_50 but if I find that I dislike the 800d as much as he did it just might..LOL

One 360 might be cutting it a little close for a CPU and two video cards. That CPU has a TDP or 130w and each 580 is rated 244w. So that's about 600w at stock clocks, if you OC you'll easily be hitting 700-750w. I'd suggest another 240 at the bottom of the 800D.

What kind of monitor setup will you be using, and are they included in that budget? For that amount of money you can build absolute top end everything. So absolutely, get 680's instead of 580's. There are already blocks available but since they're fairly new to market stock might be low. Just verify that your cards are reference design and you'll be good, although I don't think anyone has come out with a non-reference 680 yet anyway.

monitors are not included in that budget (i use that word loosely since most would not really consider 8k to be a budget) To start it will just be dual monitors (ACER B273H BMIDHZ 27INW 1920X1080 80000:1 LCD) and a 32" tv which I already have (I have to keep my girlfriend from leaving me over this build after all...ROFL)

Nothing wrong with the EK supreme HF, although the DT 5 Noz looks pretty nice...

I am thinking dual loop, looking something similar to this... Advice? also, I don't know if those pumps will fit in a drive bay or if i will need to try and mod space for them somewhere.... Thoughts?

What fans work decently with those rad's? anyone provide some insight, keeping in mind noise isn't an issue for me, I care more about performance.

also considering a full motherboard waterblock, but I don't know if its worth it or not..Thoughts?

A few thoughts... firstly that drawing is clearly not to scale wink.gif but are you sure you can fit two reservoirs side by side in the 800D? I've just looked over a few WC build logs for 800D's and it doesn't look like there's quite enough room. Also I'm sure you're aware but modding will be required to get a 2x120 res in the bottom.

Not sure if you need two completely separate loops anyway since you will get more than enough cooling out of 360 + 240 worth of radiators, even if you added a mobo block, and one pump can easily handle that. But then again WC isn't necessarily about what we merely need, is it? biggrin.gif FWIW you can also feed both loops through one res if it turns out you can't fit both.

Also you will definitely want to get aftermarket pump tops, firstly because the stock ones are ugly and unwieldy, secondly because aftermarket tops typically perform better and provide more options on how to route the tubing. Pretty much every company that makes watercooling gear makes pump tops so there's a lot to choose from. Also the MCP655 is just a rebranded name for the Laing D5, which again, all the watercooling companies sell, but be advised that using a top and pump from different companies might break the warranty on the pump. The pumps will take up two bays if that's where you want to put them, and obviously you'll need to either make or buy some kind of bracket. Most of the time when people put the pump in the drive bays it's as part of a res/pump combo.

About the rads... I'm not clear on precisely what rads you're getting, are they the new swiftech ones with or without the integrated res? I would recommend against the ones with the res since that's targeted more to the all-in-one kit market. Since you're building a full-on custom deluxe loop with your own sexy reservoirs you don't need that and IMO it will just make things bulkier and uglier.

As far as fans are concerned, it seems those rads are designed for medium to high speed fans. There are a huge number of choices but since noise level isn't an issue you should look at high-RPM fans such as the Gentle Typhoon AP-29. It would also seem a shame not to get a fan controller, have you looked into those yet?
