Vcore fluctutations in BF3 normal?

I have my 2500k @4.5 @ 1.304/1.312 load under prime95. I can get to 1.28V but i need to prevent idle BSOD so have to bump up the Vcore to compensate for low idle with c3/c6 on, which i like to have.

1.It's just I have noticed that when playing BF3, my voltage range is anywhere from 1.2 - 1.36V, is this normal? Please bear in mind that I do not use LLC so maybe this is just substantial Vdroop under varying load conditions?

2.Also should the VCore always be changing every second whatever I am doing on the computer, whether gaming, idle or on the web?

Yes that is perfectly normal. That will be C1E (option in BIOS) altering the multiplier and voltage according to required load. Its a power saving feature.

Thanks for the reply, Jokah when your rig that you achieve 4.8GHz @1.4V, is this in max load like prime95? So your BF3 could fluctuate possibly between 1.3 and 1.5v without LLC for example?

I dont actually run it at that anymore but when I did I had it set to 1.4v in the BIOS.

LLC will not make your CPU volts fluctuate. LLC compensates for vdroop under load. As I said before it is C1E that is making it fluctuate and it is doing what it is supposed to do. Your worrying about your CPU functioning as it should and yes my volts could vary while gaming.
