STH10 Big Bang XPower II Kick A$$ Build - Page 2

I was slowly finding Vertex 3 120GB drives on EBay for $100 - $125 so over a few months I was able to add 4 more 120GB Vertex 3's to the RAID0 so I added the second ICY Dock bay and removed the second Optical drive.
The one thing I still would like to change is that BioStar USB3 assembly in the top of the case. I could not find another 2 port USB3 aluminum panel. If anyone knows of one, I would be most appreciative. Just want black aluminum and no logo.

I wanted so bad to water cool the Lightning Extremes and when I found out Bitspower Taiwan had blocks I tried for two weeks to get through to them and place an order, but the cost on these puppies was about for $175 each block. Just then the GTX 680's were released so problem solved. EK then had water blocks within a week or two and whala ! Now some kick ass water cooled Gigabyte GTX 680's . Had to tweak the tubing of course but I had always envisioned just a hop from the second water block to the graphics cards. And using the EK Parallel FC block was fantastic and looks so clean. I wish they had the nickel-plexi versions when I placed my order but got the nickel-acetyl blocks which still looks awesome with my black and blue theme.

Lastly I added Bitfenix Alchemy Blue LED Strip between the GTX 680's and also added the Phobya RGB LED Strips with controller to the case for added lighting , when desired.

Here are some thermals after system has been running all day. System is not yet overclocked. Still testing to make sure none of the bits has any problems.

That is it for now. I hope you all like. I am sure I left out a ton of stuff so just ask. I also video taped this as well.

Thanks. I n my previous build in a TJ11 case I had used the NZXT Blue LED Strip and it gave off a real nice blue light spaced nicely through that case and the Lightning Extremes have a blue LED in the fans. I liked that look so I took it forward and got the Mayhems and the other blue lighting in this build. Nothing like the space and the options you have in this case. Just phenomenal.

Awesome build. That case is so huge it actually provides space for my PC in it biggrin.gif

You know there's no need for a bed when you can room in with your case instead. laughingsmiley.gif

Looks great, wish I had a MSI Big Bang-XPower II and OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2. thumb.gif

The blue coolant looks awesome! And I really like the ssd bays in the front, might I ask why you bought ram water blocks but no blocks for the GPU's?
Regardless this is an amazing build, hopefully I can build an equivalent some day.

I bought RAM blocks strictly for the bling factor, and at the time I only had the MSI Lightning Exteremes which no one made blocks for at the time. If you got to the end of this thread you will what I did.
