Me personally, I choose to NOT play roulette with my thousands of dollars worth of new parts. Especially when I'm a complete novice when it comes to watercooling and am far more likely to mess something up as I'm installing the radiator, reservoir, blocks, tubing, etc. This is why I'm SO GLAD I stumbled across your post announcing these new fittings. I hate to admit it, but I was actually considering those new Monsoon fittings. doh.gif

Why would you hate to admit it? Those fittings are great! I have a combination of these and the monsoons since they dont have angles yet and they are really awesome. Unbelievably tight on the tubing, ensuring no leaks, and they dont twist off the threads (from my experience) I really like them.
These Lok fittings are awesome because I like the idea they had for hand tightening and tool tightening on one fitting. thumb.gif

I REALLY like tese fittings, and the concept .

I was planning on using BP... and I will stil have to, drain valve etc. BUT... for all the blocks and rads, pump and res I will be using these, even tough I have to order them from the States to Norway.

I'm building a completely new system with an extreme focus on aestethics. ( sry my english it's not my native language).

I dont mind the little extra work they might take.

i dont understamd why pl are hating, if this had been BP i'm sure ppl would be sceptics as well.

Go swiftech for making these fittings, awesome pumps, and OK rads wink.gif.

Gabe-

Love the concept of "No Slip tightening with little guess work!" - excellent product. My first water cooled build and I am going to be using your fittings and pump.

Sorry for hijacking the thread .. but could you please make a little larger tube res please? :-)

Thanks!

decided to go with black Swiftech fittings to avoid chrome.

Still these tool specific design is a step forward. But i think using a tool to place fittings is to much, and you are going to damage it nomatter what, but yes, BP design is more prone to get scratches. I scratched mine trying to do that part that i already said, but after it i realized i could do it with my fingers, i wasn't being smart that's all. So no never no any tool on my painted fittings. no...
But i prefer the BP since its more plain looking. I mean that in the good way. Like pretty and not in your face fancy
I had a big speel but it was unnesarcy i feel your being negative to a corpate giant and no matter what bits power although pricey will make better fittings than yours point blank.
I can see a epic ek nickel style fail coming with these.

stick with bitspower

and if it were bp they prolly would buut bp has fittings like these the fact s bp has been around alot longer and make the best fittings there is and swifttech isnt going to walk in and change that maybe in a few years that will change but not anytime soon. and the negativey towards bp in this thread by st speaks for itself in that matter. but you can be the test dummy and let us now if these fittings leak.

In the same regard however i wouldnt use a pump i would use a swifttech so not that there a bad company not saying that just not real happy bout the attitudue to bp

To be fair, all my complaints with my bp compressions were all summed up in Swiftech's whitepaper on the Lok-Seal. I couldn't really use tools on the bp's without ruining the finish. When using your fingers, they tore them up, and its true that they can easily come unscrewed by hand.

I may have to check out these Lok-Seals.

Okay so i feel bad for being a jerk before that was uncalled for. I have seen numerous people talk about these fittings and decided I realy cant say anything wihtout first hand experience therefor ill buy some for my newest loop that im building next week in my swicth and try them for my self must say there cheaper than other brands they got my attention there. I have no idea why fittings are so expensive i sell metal fittings for water in homes and trailers in my rv store and pc fitttings in my pc shop and the pc ones are the same damn thing but more than twice the price wassup with that. I'd be interested in hearing how you like them. I'm using them on my own build (in progress) and I'm really happy with them. I like the ability to use tools to install them without scratching the hell out of the finish. Then again, it's my first WC build so it could be my noob talking smile.gif
