Understandable. 4.5 is more than enough anyways unless you are benching or stuff like that wink.gif

If it fails there you probably have a bad stick.

Alright So i've done the 20 minutes of 1344 like suggested and then the guy said to do 1792 for 20 minutes and if I pass that he said it's more likely a stable cpu.

I passed them both! biggrin.gif So...I'll keep it at 4.5 for now. I really wanna go higher but it may not even be necessary.

Wrong. To make sure that you've got a stable OC you have to use at least 90% of your ram while running prime and you'll have to do at least 18 hours of Large-FFT testing, to make sure that you are 100% stable.

You have to run it for 18 hours to try all the different tasks that prime gives to your ram/cpu.

20 Minutes is just to make a small test to make sure that you are not getting a BSOD instantly.

Well I did use alot of ram. I did 6500 out of 8000. But if necessary I will redo the test tonight while I sleep. What happens to the BSOD when im sleeping? will it restart my computer?

Yes, your PC will reboot if you get a BSOD.

And you will be able to locate a dump file to check which BSOD you had.

It's not really necessary to run prime for that long, it's just recommended.

But I'm pretty sure that your CPU will be stable at that clock with those voltages.
