Tablet or Ultrabook?

I am trying to decide whether to get the Asus Transformer Infinity 700 when it comes out or a 13"/15" ultrabook for when I am not at home and need to surf the web etc. One thing that I MUST have is a keyboard.

Right now I have a list:

Tablet:
+HD res on small screen = happy eyes
+Runs ICS which I love.
+Has an app store and I have an android phone
+More optimized with games maybe?
+Has a camera

-Smaller than an ultrabook
-BIG CON: I need a keyboard and the one for the Transformer seems a bit cramped from reading reviews. Maybe this isn't true?
-Can't play PC games? tongue.gif

Ultrabook:
+Bigger screen (very important)
+Runs Windows
+Has a full non-cramped keyboard
+Can charge things from it

-No HD or "retina" ultrabooks yet (pretty important)
-The same as my desktop since it runs windows and I kind of want a change
-Not too big of a selection of ultrabooks yet

Whatcha think?

I think that ultrabooks are more versatile and are less likely to become a gadget that a tablet. One thing you forgot is program availability in an operating system platform compared to an android.

If i was given 800, and was asked to pick a small laptop, an ultrabook, or a tablet, the latter would always lose.

it all comes down to the use you will make of the tablet or ultrabook .i personaly bought the asus prime tablet before to watch

the chanel i follow on youtube on my bed instead of being in front of my computer and i finaly sell that tablet i would of being

better of with an ultrabook. the cost is something to think about too if you dont want to spend a 100000k.

I would choose the ultrabook. I hardly use my ipad. Only use it when im in bed to surf the web and such. Im actually gonna give the ipad to my little sis and gonna pick up the 13in Zenbook pretty soon.

Depends on the exact usage you're planning. For example, when I'm just out and about (e.g. to the mall), I bring a tablet with me for web browsing on a bigger screen than my smartphone (need to have a distraction while mom's shopping). For long vacations (basically, anything that's more than 1 day), definitely the laptop (although I usually bring/use both).
