help me cool my pc

Hi i currently have a antec nine hundred two case with one broken fan at the back of it. and my PC hits 100 degrees while playing bf3 on a core i7 920 and on a gtx 580. i had to take the side off because it was getting so ridicilously hot. i will live in spain this summer and its not even that hot here yet and my PC will prob set on fire later on if i dont do something. is it bad keeping the case open and putting a large powerful fan right next to it or should i get some fans for it? if so could you recommend any for my case thank you.

You're talking about your CPU or your GPU? Either way though, it's too hot. First thing check if the heatsink sits properly.

Some years ago people were told not to use those big fans because of electromagnetic interference (or something electromagnetic).

As RevyYYYe said, check if the heatsink is properly sat. Is the air coming out of the heatsink really really hot?

Stock cooling? overclocked?

What's the temp with the side panel off? Can you take a picture of the rig so we can see the fan layout?

Mother of god no!

Use compressed air. And make sure all your fans work. Done.
