Don't Goverments have to do something about a monopoly? I think I remember reading that if Intel pulled too far ahead, they would have to give some money and engineers to AMD. Not sure how valid that is, as it was probably from some random guy on here.

Entertaining thread we have here..

Anyway, it's nice to hear AMD has plans to try to bounce back. I think this is contrary to previous statements about AMD no longer trying to compete in the high-end CPU market though. If they're scrambling to push out a new architecture as soon as logically possible, and doing so for the reasons that they are, it's clearly a sign of wanting to compete in my opinion.
