Have an few questions and need some pointers on new build.

My current system is as follows:

Q9450 @ 3.2Ghz
Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4
Gigabyte 9600GT 512MB
4G G.SKILL PI @1200Mhz
1 Raptor 150,
2 WD black 500G
OCZ GameXStream 700W
Antec P182

I would like to keep the following and incorporate it into my new system:

Gigabyte 9600GT 512MB
OCZ GameXStream 700W
Antec P182

Here is what i had in mind for the new system:

i7-3770K
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
Samsung 830-Series MZ-7PC256B/WW 256GB SATA III

Now the things that I am not sure of are:

Does my current power supply supports the new ivy Bridge chips and MB?
Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002

I need memory recommendations for the Z77 board do I go with a DDR3 2200/2600 or stick with a 1600 and overclock it?
I am looking to get 16GB of ram and not break the bank.

Will my current video card work with the new board?

System use will be:
Development machine using eclipse, tomcat webservers, MYSQL, MSSQL
I need to be able to do database migrations and eclipse sucks up a lot of memory.

I also need it for photoshop/lightroom working with 18mb raw picture files.
I don't really play any games on it so i feel not upgrading the video will save me some money.

I need something very fast, very memory intensive and fast I/O

Let me know if im overlooking or missing anything.

First, your PSU will be fine. Regarding the memory, the speed or timings won't make a real world difference. Only in some benchmarks. Now, what you want is two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096&Tpk=Samsung%20RAM These bad boys overclock like 200$+ memory. If you look at the review or some threads here on OCN, they'll get to 2133MHz at 10-10-11-28 fairly easily. The Z77 motherboard is perfect but for the CPU, the 3770K might not be the best choice if you want to overclock. It will consume less but the transistors are very small and compacted in a tiny die so they produce less heat BUT, they're so close from each others that a recent "review" showed temps of 98C at 4,72GHz on a H100. For example, a 2600K at the same clock and same cooler would probably stay south of 70C. If there's only a tiny IPC count or if the CPU has the same max temperature of 98C, the 2600K will be a better option.

I guess i just wanted to get the most updated CPU. I doubt ill push the limits, but it would be nice to have pci 3.0 support in the future having the Ivy Bridge chip. I dunno?? I try to build a system to last 4 years. My current is about 4 years old.

Either way, you should easily be good for 4 years. Although you have to know LGA 1155 is a dead platform after Ivy Bridge since apparently, Haswell will be on LGA 1150.

Honestly, I'd just wait for review of the 3770K and see if the temps are actually that bad. After all, it could be an issue with the temperature monitor they used (ie: not being compatible with Ivy Bridge) or the max temperatures could be a lot higher than Sandy Bridge.

Will that samsung memory work with the ivy bridge chips?

Starting to purchase the parts now.
