So i'm trying to OC my CPU to 3.0GHz or 3.10 on my sandy bridge CPU (G840, it's 2.80GHz default) about it's multiplier, I recently confused someone saying it's locked.. but it was just "top locked". The multiplier is LIMITED it can range from 16x to 28x (automatically it's on 28x) Anyway, the thing is, how can I bump up my GHz to 3?? or a bit higher? I don't want to go crazy on these clocks.. just a sufficient clock for a stock cooler.. and what is QPI/Vtt voltage or Dynamic Vcore?? I looked around for this stuff and I didn't get a good answer.. anyone please explain to me these 2 terms? I have a Gigabyte Z68P-DS3 mobo, on the BIOS, there is no direct "CPU voltage" or anything like that term.. I don't know which one is for CPU voltage, as i think I need to pump a bit more voltage.. or anyone tell me what else I need to do. Thank you.
