I need it for speed, surfing the net, connects to networks, and college/uni, it's £830 but I get 10% off @ £83, here's the specs:

do you really need the laptop? i kno i was drawn into the appeal of portability but soon thereafter relized that i can get twice the power for half the price, and can always upgrade very easily later. laptops are a pain in the arse to upgrade (beyong ram and hdd)

I for one know I could live w/o my laptop. It is for the most part with me 24/7 for school work, internet, and gaming. Its not great, but it gets the job done. And when im at home, it makes one hell of a decent folder. Also, that laptop would allow you to get by, its not great, but its nothing to sneeze at either.

For college, Getting a desktop is almost useless, Go for it
