So as you can tell by the title I can't decide which one to get. I've seen a lot of people saying ones good for one thing and the other for another thing. Then someone comes along and says the exact same thing but with the keyboards switched around and that made it extremely hard to choose between which one. If you guys good list what it's good for and what it's bad for that would be extremely helpful but you don't need to.

Additional info: I will be using the keyboard mostly for gaming but it can't be horrible for typing. I don't play any RTS/MOBA style games so APM doesn't really matter. I don't want my hands to be tired after long sessions of typing/gaming. I also want one that will last me a LONG time before becoming obsolete/worn down.

Have you gone to a shop and tried out the BlackWidow? The box has a cut-out over the arrow keys so you can test them out.

Personally, I would recommend the Blue switches to just about anybody, for any purpose, so long as they don't particularly dislike tactility. Test out the BlackWidow. If you hate the Blue switches, then go with something else.

I'm too looking at the 6gv2. Rules out the black widow a long time ago due to the fact that tons of people say the durability on it sucks. Also considering the cm QuickFire pro and the otaku from elitekeyboards.com. Another option is the corsair k60. For the under $100 range these seem to be the best options

I have tried them out actually. It feels pretty nice. I also was able to try friends 6Gv2. I liked the 6Gv2 better but I don't really know how well they compare since it has been quite a while since I tried the Blackwidow so I can't really compare.

My advice to you: stay the hell away from blues. wink.gif

LOL. Why?

Blues have a very loud click at the actuation point, some people like it, other don't. Personally i love them on my CM Quick Fire.

I own the 6Gv2 and I have tried the blackwidow in store also. I really like the MX black switches on the 6gV2, they actuate about 1/3 down the keypress and they are not as loud as the MX blues. The durability on the 6Gv2 is also MUCH better, it has a metal plate inside to keep it from warping and it makes the keyboard quite heavy, so it doesn't move around at all. I would go for the 6Gv2 if I were you, but the CM mechanical keyboard is not bad either.

How well does the Quickfire compare to these two?

Well, it's available in all of the main switch types for a start (blue, black, red and brown).

It really is a personal preference thing.

I use a blackwidow with mx blues which I have double dampened with really soft O rings. I love it but most people don't like the reduced travel.
