yeah with the shroud between the panel and fan, at 50% with other fans running it is all good, while gaming and shooting and loud explosions at 80% it is quiet, but I think I still will get the cougar, maybe put the sickleflow elsewhere with the shroud, maybe on the hsf other side, have 3 fans...
OKAY so the temps are the same as when the fan was there without the shroud, so it's all good.
It's a very distinct noise the fan makes at 100%, it is a thick deep vrrrmmmmm, it's not the air noise, maybe vibrations? I hooked the shroud to the fan with rubber screws that came with the noctua nh-d14 hsf and connected to the side panel between small mouse pad rubbers.
also thinking where I could put my old side panel 140mm?
The back only accepts 120mm, I could still fit it there (that's what she said), but IDK if that would help, since the hsf sucks air and is 2 inches from the rear fan, I could make the rear intake???Edited by Aregvan - 4/16/12 at 4:24pm
