Sensor bug?

After downgrading my mobo bios i noticed something weird: My cpu average temps have dropped by 20 celsius degrees (now it's at 23 instead of 42-43). Does this have to do with somekind of bug? The bios and everest 2006 ultimate show the same temps so maybe that's true, who knows...

Asus motherboards have a tendency to display lower/higher temperatures.

This is soo weird, when i flash my bios to the latest version available for my mobo, the cpu temps are "high", around 40-45° c idle and not oc'ed; when i downgrade my bios to an older one, there is a tremendous drop by 20 degrees, now it's 21-22°. I've searched through internet and i found something about the 0,5 overvoltage on asus motherboards, to gain more performances over the others. Is that true? Maybe the overvolt feature was not implemented in early p5ad2 bios, what do you think?
