Yes, very.....this was my favorite part

Very intriguing situation. So far we have got a few very clear indications that Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400С4 and Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500С5 should be exactly the same.

As for more specific advice from us, we can say that Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400С4 and Mushkin 996523 XP2-6400 DDR2 should definitely become your primary choice. These two kits work stably at default speeds and timing settings and at the same time offer significant overclocking potential, so that they can easily compete with PC2-8000 SDRAM.

I just got my 6400C4 today. I'm glad to hear it was rated well.

Yes, I highly recommend this ram. I love mine, it overclocks like a beast. The 6400C4 corsairs should have micron D9 chips on them, very good chips for oc'ing and they love the volts too if you need it. Same chips as on the Gskill HZ's I believe, which are also very popular and should perform just as well.

Check the revision number on the sticker on your ram. If it's version 1.x it should be the micron D9 chips. If it's 5.x or 6.x it's probably infineon or something else and not as good. Since you got the C4's, they should be the microns, and you should be a very happy oc'er- for ram anyway . I had some 6400 C5's before, and they were infineon chips, didn't oc very well either, and more volts didn't help much. I returned them for the c4's (for about the same price too- woot ), and I'm so very glad I did.

They can hit over ddr21000 with 4-4-4-8 timings, with a little extra voltage. I love my corsair c4's!
