NO DISPLAY after ram change!!!

hey guys, ive got a 6 year old computer now and never changed anything in it
here is my motherboard

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5E3_Deluxe/#specifications

story is, i took ram out from brand new computer ddr3 and put it in that motherboard above, 2 2x2gb sticks and the computer turned on but it just kept restarting with no signal, i tried putting in individual ram sticks and same thing just kept restarting no signal, then i took out all the ram and turned it on after i took out the mobo battery and it didnt beep with no ram in it. from what other ppl say if no beeps with no ram most likely the motherboard is dead. can someone help me out with this, i even tried to put back the ram that the computer game with and still just kept restarting with no signal
if someone could help me it would be appreciated.
thank you

Did you make sure you fully reset the CMOS? I've had something similar to this before without having fully reset the CMOS because I didn't move a jumper and turn on without battery, or turn on with the battery, etc etc.

^ That's not always the case.

Quote:
2.6 Jumper

To erase the RTC RAM:
1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the onboard battery.
3. Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3. Keep the cap on
pins 2-3 for about 5~10 seconds, then move the cap back to pins 1-2.
4. Reinstall the battery.
5. Plug the power cord and turn ON the computer.
6. Hold down the Del key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup
to re-enter data.
