Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe available for Pre Order - Page 2

well to be fair it does come with a wifi/bluetooth card already... but it *is* pretty steep. i might have to see what the asrock itx board will be priced at first, although that one wont be as good as the asus one.

so many features in such a small mobo, this is a nice piece of candy no doubt, hell just looking at the specs makes me drool.

i'm kinda glad this board is expensive biggrin.gif this means manufactures are finally taking the ITX market seriously. why would you get a sticker shock on this and consider it a good deal if this was a gene-Z board? it offers almost the same performance at a form factor that some of us prefer. the pricing only reflects the seriousness asus is starting to view the ITX market. I'd rather have high quality boards built in this form factor then to have to go up in size to get quality. it's how the gene-Z came to be a few years ago. before the gene-Z, mATX was considered the red headed stepchild in the mobo market. now it's a real alternative to ATX since it preforms just as well minus the extra expansion slots that VERY few people actually use.

How is this in any way better than the Maximus V Gene, which goes for 199.99 on Newegg?

You can't compare the two...this is an mITX board while the Maximus is an mATX.

Wow, Asus really pulled out all the stops on this one. 8+2 phase, Intel LAN, full OC capabilities...I need to go and build an ITX rig.

NCIX has this on backorder/preorder now.

http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=71116

I attempted to place an order though, and it doesn't seem to be in the system complete yet though.

The H77 seems to be available as well for $108.97

Yeah who knows when it's going to be in stock. Asus just replied to me on their NA page with this nonsense lol "sorry I didn't see this comment earlier. From what I know the first shipment sold out really quickly at all of the retailers but they should be receiving more sometime next week."

lol, interesting ~ I've wanted to contact Asus but couldn't find a place to ask that wasn't restricted to troubleshooting of products under warranty.
