From a Q9400@3.8 to an Oced 2600k, what should I espect Gaming wise ?

These processors are getting cheaper and DDR3 memory price is a joke by these days.

I know my CPU is limiting my 6950 especially in benchmarks
but will I "feel" a real difference while gaming in real world situations?
(I'm playing at @1080p btw)

No one is benching with old quads anymore. I wonder if they can still beat Phenom II @same clocks in real modern games.

Other than benching, is such a move would bring some benefits ?

Combined with that card you're going to see a huge increase in gaming performance and overall performance as well...I can't say exactly how much but that is a pretty good leap in muscle. I did a similar upgrade and had substantial fps gains, overclocking with less heat and power
