Been playing it since launch religiously. I used to run it off my old K6-2 500mhz, I was below specs and still playing it Dont worry about the game being older, it's wicked fun. hey, people still play starcraft right?

ET is brought on the net as a demo... (it still is actualy) but because of the succes and people making more and more maps for it, it became a full game with updates and all....

WINDOWS ! (choose your download location Belgium or australia)

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 257,78 MB (windows) - http://returntocastlewolfenstein.fil...14380#Download
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 2.60b Patch 943.06 KB (windows) - http://returntocastlewolfenstein.fil...62012#Download

LINUX ! (choose your download location Belgium or australia)

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 258,05 MB (linux) - http://returntocastlewolfenstein.fil...14408#Download
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 2.60b Patch 1.04 MB (linux) - http://returntocastlewolfenstein.fil...62010#Download

now you won't be accepted in almost all server without the patch installed, so i'm gonna explain this easy !

install the game (wolfet.exe / et-linux-2.55.x86.run), then install the patch, don't worry it will automaticaly search the folder you installed ET in. The you have to update pb or else you get kicked out of server for cheating (what your not doing ! right ? ), ok this is what you do:

C: >> program files >> wolfenstein - enemy territory >> pb >> pbweb (double click this icon and a msdos window should pop up)

when pbweb is finished you should ready to play the game !

now don't whine you still need to download maps and etpro files (and yes some servers has slow uploads, just be patient or search for another server). No there are 3 kinds of configs in ET, you got ETpro, ETpub and ???? (forgot the name), now ETpub (sucks imo) cause all the settings are weird, strange mods and the gameplay is slow or not acurate so just all use ETpro ! cause this is just simply the best config server to play on.

now have fun !

and yet again, any questions... you know where to find me

EDIT:

well, there are about 25 arena51.be servers, normally there are only 3 or 4 packed (20 players is the limit) @ the evening so i always take the crowded 1

what is your point in finding a linux server... win32 and linux can play in the same server without probs....

anyway !

http://et.splatterladder.com/ - good for finding friends, players and servers !
http://forum.dvkhosting.be/viewtopic...e4422bcd96dff4 - whatever this means ? i'm not the linux guy

and maybe google can do the trick ?

btw are there any config builders here ?

He wants a dedicated server for linux. So he can set a server up.

I think.

Anyways, it comes with the 'demo'. You should be able to start an ET dedicated server by typing etded in a terminal. As for configurations, heres a good guide:

idd, start ET up and you can directly host a server... but that would be running from your own pc and internet, my experiences are that 4mbit could hold up about 8 people but lags are always a question with that...

another problem is that if you host your own server it wouldn't be seen in the server list (i never found mine anyway) but you can dress the IP to someone you like to invite....
