Time to upgrade?

Thread Starter
With the price drop on the 7970's presumably around the corner and 400 dollars in new egg gift cards burning a hole in my pocket I am debating replacing my 6950 crossfire setup with a single 7970. I know that it could be considered more of a side grade because the two 6950's do appear slightly better in benchmarks I have seen. I am wondering if I will see better results from the increased vram because I am running eyefinity 5040x1050.

I am wondering what your guys take on the situation is. Too upgrade or not to upgrade:thumb:

You'd probably be more stable and experience a performance boost running eyefinity on a single 7970 over your current setup
