Misleading title is misleading....
Also, I like this quote

“Red screen of death” that has caused much uproar among the community on a wide number of forums online.
Funny how this is the first time ive ever heard of it, sounds like they found a small bug in some program, slapped the 680's name into it and made a stupid headline.

I was about to say the same thing, i've not heard this being discussed anywhere.

...you didn't read the original topic, did you? The issue is caused by 3rd party applications accessing the GPU's BIOS.

I'll just add that I get a RSOD when using GPU tool's stability tester on my GTX 680. Not a problem really, I just don't use that program. Furmark works fine.

I'd take a red screen issue I can fix easily by disabling software, than constant poop driver updates that never fix half the issues and tend to make some worse. This is coming from a guy who had an X800XT Plat, 4870, and then a 5970. Had countless problems with the 5970, their singlecards are fine though. If I'm going multiple cards or a dual-gpu setup, I'm never going with AMD, the experience was just that bad.

So far this is the only problem and it's quite small effecting a tiny percentage. I say successful launch in comparison to 7000 line by far. Have at it. rolleyes.gif
