For those running their 3930K @5.0GHz+ are you Water Cooling your MOSFET?

Just using a noctua fan directed at my MOSFET right now. Planning to switch from a Corsair H70 closed-loop to a Custom Water Cooling loop, but don't know whether I should include a MOSFET water block for my ASUS P9X79 mobo.

I am able to run 5.0GHz @1.5v but my 3930K throttles down when doing Prime95 or IBT because temps get too high frown.gif

I'd recommend water cooling the VRMs on x79. These hex-core CPUs draw an insane amount of current. Heck even at 4.6ghz I'm watercooling my VRMs.

If you don't mind me asking, which model are you using, the HeatKiller or the EK water block?

I'm running a koolance block on my REIV, but you can't go wrong with heatkiller or EK IMO. redface.gif
