Because Microsoft makes money off the advertisements in Bing.

It is your opinion that Zune sucks. I don't particularly like Zune either, but that's not the point.

I think people just have a hard time understanding that there is more than just two formats. Its just the way we are wired the first two that are decent we just stick with.

Bing is better than Google, in my opinion, and I've noticed no difference in accuracy between the two despite some studies supporting Bing's accuracy over Google's.

Other than that, I love Microsoft's ecosystem of which I'm heavily invested in... MSDNAA, Live, Outlook, Skydrive, Windows, and I'm looking forward to developing in .Net.

one thing is sure,ms shot themselves in the foot by not making w8 avail on older version.even if they had charged the user the os price people would have paid it i suspect!so dont sweat it android is the smartphone market,we can all ignore the other solution sadly!

I'm just asking why you can't change the default search engine from Bing. I don't like that. Fairly certain you can change it in Android and iOS.

You can change the default search on some carriers. You can also change it with root access to your phone. It is not a universal feature.
