This pretty much, Android provides for the techies and people who like customization, Apple provides for the people that just want a straight forward, user friendly phone or a gaming phone.

A huge issue is mindshare, or lack thereof. At least in the US, the majority of WP7 phones end up being on AT&T, where all the sales reps up until recently just pitched android phones and iphones and actually actively steered me away from a Windows Phone. However the hardware just wasn't very appealing either (sans the Dell Venue Pro...which wasn't sold anywhere except on Dell's website), until the Lumia 800/900. What needs to happen is a stronger marketing campaign, and by that I mean putting boots on the ground and teaching sales reps to give WP7 phones a fair shake compared to android and iphone, in addition to the standard tv ads, billboards and aggressive sales. They also need to spread out better hardware to ALL the carriers, or at least more than just AT&T *ahem Verizon*. It's a huge market share they're just not tapping, and unlike the iPhone, they don't have the first mover advantage.

Also, it'd seem natural for WP to be a Blackberry alternative, I don't see why MS doesn't more properly develop WP to integrate with MS's enterprise offerings and/or making it easier to attach things to emails at least.

Being able to run a half decent browser is more relevant to my daily usage than facebook integration. That and multitasking and games.

May I ask why you would call it less than a 'half decent browser'? From personal experience and all the reviews I've read the browser seems to be at worst usable and at best actually pretty darn good.

The lack of incognito mode is getting to me tongue.gif but apart from that you were right, I've started to love this phone and almost everything that comes with it. Only things I have to wait for now are more developers to bring apps to the marketplace, the problem I see with that though is that Microsoft seems to charge a pretty steep fee to put apps on the marketplace and into a market where not many people are willing to invest their money on games and apps. Hopefully soon I can bring a file manager to this thing so it's a full fledged smartphone.
