The best thing about this price drop is the fact that AMD have already sold plenty of 7xxx cards, then there is the fact that the 680 isn't that much faster,, and once oc'd the cards are pretty much on equal playing fields..which is damn important for future gen cards. The gap in performance between AMD and Nvidia is now pretty small and seeing as these cards now cost less than the 680 with more vid memory and 384bit interface its all looking bright for the Red team.

Well according to the Newegg reviews, the fan is quiet, the card runs cool, plus Sapphire is a reliable AMD partner.

I don't own the card so I'd can't vouch from any personal experience.

It really depends on you. tongue.gif I would say the extra $60/70 is worth it.

If your want to best performance yes aim for 7970 smile.gif but if you want to save your money aim for 7950 since it can be overclocked really great close to 7970 thumb.gif Its your call wink.gif
