Nothing is impossible, but usually you will get the best possible results, if the RAID driver version matches the RAD OROM version.
On the other hand it is clear, that a user with an absolutely outdated and not updatable Intel MSM OROM will get better results with an Intel RST driver like v184.108.40.2066 than with an old Intel MSM driver of the v7 or v8 series.
