When I run both SMP and GPU slots at the same time, my SMP PPD plummets from ~14k PPD to 8000 and under (sometimes I get 0 PPD!).
When I run them alone, I get ~14k PPD for SMP. My 6950 gets ~9000 PPD whether I'm folding just on that or in combination with SMP. I have read about AMD GPUs not being that great for folding and that they need a CPU core to themselves, so I limited SMP to 3 cores so that my GPU can use the other core.
So basically when I'm folding using both SMP and GPU I am getting huge losses in PPD and it seems to be best to just forget GPU folding and fold SMP alone. Is there something I can do to make them get along to maximize my PPD?
