Away from the scene for a while.

Thread Starter
I'v been away from the scene awhile a need some help. I have been running my Sig Rig for over Three and a Half years and its time for a upgrade. I have 1050 USD to spend and I don't require Hard Drives (Apart from maybe an SSD) I mostly play Skyrim Heavly modded. BF3, ME3. Or anything new really. And Soon Diablo 3. I enjoy maxing the games out. I have a monitor with the resolution of 1920X1080 and play games on it. What would you guys recommend for my next rig. Intel/AMD. ATI/iNvdia i'm open to all of it. Just need some advice. Thanks in advance !

Well since you are a gamer the i5 2500k is perfect for price/performance. Amd is terrible atm for cpu's like really bad. Between nvidia and amd well thats up to you, nvidia you would either have a gtx 580 for decent price or 680 for a really expensive price. With amd gpu's you could either get the 7950 or 7970. The 7950 is perfect atm for price/performance imo.

Well I beleive lots can be done on such a budget. I would however wait a week for Ivy and get the i5 3570k. Get a Z77 board. 8-16gb of 1600 DDR3 RAM. A video card like a 7970, or 680. And if you can slip a SSD in you got yourself a SOLID build. I'll put a list together. thumb.gif

Edit: What do you plan on using from your old build besides your monitor (ie. Hard Drive?)

Cpu: Intel i5 3570K roughly $225-$250
Mobo:ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 $145
GPU:EVGA GeForce GTX 680 2GB $500
RAM:Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 $45
SSD:Corsair Performance Pro Series128GB $200

Just a rough part list. thumb.gif
