right now i have a Xonar DG 5.1. and its pretty good. but i dont think its going to be soooon that their going to include the Xonar sound on the boards? or are they lol

I beleive next GEN Maximus will have Xonar onboard. Time will tell, but that is the rumor.

Yeah if you do Sli no way you could have a sound card. I looked into a little while back. I got my current mobo instead, but i was very tempted to get the Maximus IV Gen3, but saw alot of bad reviews on the onboard sound.

yeah i remember the last gen was a rebranded realtek chip, but iv heard a lot of good things about this next gen SupremeFX III. there is one newegg review on it right now, first thing thats said is the onboard sound is great, and also a couple of people i know just got this board for testing, and say its actually not bad. ( have a friend that works at a PC shop) so, if i ever get a second 480 il be fine as long as i dont buy a sound card with this board. (assuming the sound is fairly decent)

I really think this board will be a good choice for you then. Best of luck with the processor you choose. I would say get the Ivy FOR SURE!!! Even if you gotta pitch in a couple bucks.

thanks man. probably gonna get a 3570k biggrin.gif it will be a long, hard, and boring 2 week wait hahah. (when i can order a processor, and/or wait til ivy is released)
