I just threw up in my mouth a little.

I wish I could drop Win8 onto my transformer (sadly Android doesn't do java/c++ programming), but I hate metro on my laptop.

It actually works quite nice. Metro UI only uses one screen and actually plays nice with Eyefinity or Extended Desktop.

Also Boot From VHD sounds pretty awesome.

This. I haven't Beta'd it yet, but everything I've seen of it, I very much do not want; AND I WAS AN EARLY VISTA ADOPTER after beta-ing it.

BTW, the topic has it wrong. There are 4 flavors of Windows 8... they forgot to count Windows 8 Enterprise listed at the end.

Finally... some sense at MS except that Media Center is an add-on... and only avaliable for Pro version. mad.gif

Interesting... Is the basic Office suite avaliable on Windows Phone today?

16-bit support is dead for good.

Besides, why would anyone need it today? If you are running 16-bit code, you are running legacy software for some dedicated platform so you probably will not be upgrading the OS anyways.

I ain't buying Windows 8 no matter how many versions or "flavours" they give us. It personally has nothing that pulls me to it yet. Windows 7 is completely perfect just like XP was till 7 was released. This will most likely be one I'm skipping out on.
