Hello what Case should i get..........

Hi I'm in the market for a new computer case which is why I posted this tread, feel free to suggest any case you like but I have my own suggestions and features that I would like it to have and if they don't have these features then I will not buy it.

before I get into the cases I've being looking at I'll say what features that it needs to have.

  • At least a full ATX size mother board.
  • No less than 6 HDD mounts any less then 6 and I will not look at it, I have 5 drives that will be going in it but i have not decided if I will be using the 6th one yet I'll decide later.
  • At least 3 5.25 bays they will be all used any less than 3 and I will not look at it.
  • Must have wire management or I will not look at it.
  • The hard drive bays must come out the side of the case or have the ability to unscrew and move to where I want it, it does not have to have this but the drive bays have to come out the side, if the drive bays face the in side of the case then I wont buy it.
  • I will be water cooling most of the time so I need at least 2 holes in the back cos my dual rads take up all of the space on top of the case so i need the top of the case to be flat, if there is any stuff of top of the case i will be drilling a hole in it to mount my rads.
  • its better for it to have USB 3 my mother board don't have USB 3 but My next one will.
  • Also the cheaper the sooner i can get it, I am on a budget so i think it will be about two months before i can get it so there is time for people to say whatever they want about what ever case.

These are the cases I have being looking at.

Corsair Carbide 400R Black Mid-Tower Case

Antec Eleven Hundred Black Gaming Case

Antec Three Hundred Two Case

CoolerMaster HAF 912 Advanced

I know there are others suggest what you want.

Quite the picky little devil aren't you? tongue.gif

I would suggest looking at the following brands:

Lian Li
Corsair
Silverstone
Fractal Design

There are a few more that I can't for the life of me remember, but those are all the classiest and well constructed cases in my personal opinion. They are going to be the ones worth your money.

The Antec P280 is a really nice case I really like the inside of the case, but I don't much like the door on the front, however what I don't like about is the stark lines having a door on the front of your case is really really good idea but it don't need to go all the way up to the top of the case it only needs to cover the fan filters so you can get clean it.

How many cases have fan filter behind the front of the case being with plastic clips to keep it on, how long it it before it brakes.

Anyway thank you for bringing this case up I'll have to think about it.......

I have previously had a 400r and it was really a great case.

-Tons of cable management
-USB 3.0 headers
-Plenty of 5.25 and 3.5" bays (I used a converter that made 2x 5.25" bays into 3x 3.5" slots)
-Great airflow for air cooling
-The white LEDs don't look silly and ricey, my girlfriend thought they looked cool and that is seriously saying something... (something about a few years together makes people brutally honest hahah rolleyes.gif )
-Room for any CPU cooler
-I also water cooled it before moving to my Phantom. Fit an RS240 up top and an EX360 hanging off the back with room to spare.

It's $90 with free shipping (No silly MIR's) on amazon right now: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0055Q7BR4/?tag=pcpapi-20

After a while of searching, I also settled on the Switch 810. If I was going to spend any more, I would just jump up to the $600 Case labs gear.

Oh, I am also recommending the Antec p280, not only does it look sexy, but if your going with air cooling its going to be silent, and it features all you deem as a necessity.....including water cooling.
Its $112 at amazon http://www.amazon.com/Antec-P280-Black-Tower-Computer/dp/tech-data/B005X3E5BO
