Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I'm trying to get rid of my desk right now and until then I can't move my desk into my room. I need the space in the garage to make the other sections of the desk so the project is at a standstill until I sell my old desk.

This is cool. It looks like a space paranoid from Tron.

Could i suggest that you could put a layer of wood filler on top of your entire desk and then sand it smooth then paint over it. I'm not implying that the desk is a bad job at all but there is any tiny room for improvement and might i also suggest the you have a plug expasion brick because if you will be running 3 monitors and a ton of stuff that requires to be plugged in you will need a lot of sockets

The plywood is grade AB with A side up, it already has wood filler applied to spots and I did sand it smooth. I'm actually thinking of redoing the paint job now to an oil based solution for added durability. As far as the expansion brick goes, I will be adding one, plus one for USB for my headset and other USB powered stuff thumb.gif

I haven't had much time at all to update or build anything on it. Finals are this next week and I've been spending almost all of my time studying. doh.gif

Could i ask how do you plan on mounting your three monitors?
Also have you modded your phantom?

As of now, I will have my monitors just standing normally on my desk, but I plan to eventually upgrade to wall mounted swinging brackets such as these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824994064

In terms of if my phantom is modded at all or not, it isn't. The only things I have changed for my phantom are the original fans with led ones, but that's it.

In terms of an update on the configuration, I haven't been able to work on it for the two months due to both end of class finals and summer school being a real pain. All of my classes are done now smile.gif. I'll be getting some cash shortly and will be updating my build.

The corner section of the desk is in my room now! It isn't a final setup, but I sold my desk a while ago and moved the desk in with my three monitors. The paint job is going to be redone on the main surface after I finish the other 2 sections of the desk; I'll be doing it with oil paint rather than water based latex paint which is much less durable.

Again, sorry I've neglected this thread. Other things have called me and I've had to put this project on hold for a while, but I will be getting back on this as soon as possible!

I'm just about ready to finish this desk! I'm going out to get the last cuts of plywood either today or tomorrow. I edited my build slightly to allow the desk to switch to either shape of L by making the computer stand detached. I'll also be redoing the paint job on my corner section with oil based paint instead of latex.

Here is a photo of my temporary setup with a few patches in my corner section:

I put up some shelving and I also hung my headset while you weren't watching.
