After Crysis 2, I don't have much hope for 3. I don't know, it was a fun game and all, but the first one had a much greater impact on various levels (i.e graphics, game mechanics etc.) It felt like a regular modern shooter with the suit power-up system added in the mix. Graphics were arguably not that much better, especially comparing them to a modded Crysis 1 which looks gorgeous to this day.

I don't know. I've reserved a spot in my mind for Crysis as the game that moves graphics forward. It'd be a same if they don't raise the bar even a bit. Frankly, Battlefield 3 moved up a step or two.

So as I am understanding it this story takes place between Crysis and Crysis 2? Or is it AFTER Crysis 2....cuz if its the latter I can't comprehend how we are going to be playing as Prophet....*** IS NOMAD?!?!!

WAIT..... if Crysis 3 is going to be in the jungle they should just use the same engine and everything from Crysis 1? Like just use the same engine graphics and everything and create a new storyline since Crysis 1 obvisously looks better than Crysis 2, I don't think gamers would mind at all, plus they would save a ton of money not having to create all new environments, physics etc., then they would just have to dumb down the graphics a tad for consoles, even i could afford the budget for Crysis 3

It's set in the future after crysis 2. Psycho makes a return but you still play as Prophet. At the end of Crysis 2 you realize that Prophet's mind is assimilated into the suit and the player is fused to it somehow so you become Prophet. Also, Nomad died before Crysis 2 takes place. He sacrifices himself to save the others who were ambushed. It's all in the comics, I didn't bother reading though.
