Yeah, as opposed to the 50+ Marios, 50+ Pokemons, yearly release of Madden, Call of Duty, many WoW expansions, and yet they're milking Halo somehow.rolleyes.gif
There's only be three Halo's in the main arch... This will be the forth.
There are 20 Battlefield games, yet I don't hear people complaining about the "third" entry... lets all just ignore the fact that there are 19 other Battlefields.
...between humanity, the flood, and the covenant(to a lesser extent).
Still little is known about the Forerunners and the race before them, the precursors. There's plenty of story to tell.
This ^ It's also going to get into more of the forerunners, a more personal connection of John, or Spartan 117 aka Master Chief(shown to a small bit when you hear cortana telling john to wake up in the trailer) and Cortana, as well as AI Rampancy issue and whatnot,as by the time Chief wakes from cryo, cortana's 7 year life span will be nearing.

As for these, BUNGIE, is done with Halo. They were in a set deal with Microsoft after Halo 3 and Halo 3 was their 'final' title from a chronological story standpoint, not necessarily that the fight was finished, except for it being so for them. However, they were still under contract with Microsoft to produce 3 more Halo games, before their moving on from the franchise would be finished, which is where we get Halo 3: ODST(sidestory), Halo: Reach(prequel to the original), and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversery. This was mentioned in the documentary Bungie had up on their site about 10 years of halo, for a while.

Now it's left in Microsoft's hands, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as they have Frank O'Conner, who was with Bungie during the earlier Halo games, so he knows what he's doing I feel and could give them some good direction. Plus theres plenty to cover from the novels, still and more to tell about the forerunners/AI/John, himself. So nahh.

Last BUNGIE Halo game, not last Halo game period. But as Bizarre mentioned it isnt as bad as some other series in terms of 'Milking' so I'm perfectly okay with this.

Edit: God it feels so long since playing as the Master Chief, I'm kind of excited! Can't wait for this next arc of the Halo story!

No exciting, and boring!

I don't think this would beat COD: MW series's break record..

I am looking very forward to this game. I am hoping they dive more into the lore that the novels have established. My prediction he is heading to a planet named onyx that the spartan creator and the last 3 spartans besides master chief are on. They have also confirmed that this will be the start of a trilogy so Halo 5 and 6 are already confirmed.

Game Informer did a special on Halo4 this month. Remember that planet that you got a glimpse of at the end of Halo 3? Turns out its Forerunner, and I believe that planet is called Requiem.

Halo isn't milked nearly as much as other franchises these days. Call of Duty has a new game every year which has used the exact same engine 5 times now, 6 this year, so please don't generalize Halo with CoD, it's insulting to Bungie and 343 studios. Assassin's Creed also has been making a game every year, the past 3 have been basically the same, which while good, it is getting old and I haven't beaten Revelations yet because of that. Halo games typically come out every 2-3 years, with the exception of ODST which was basically and expansion to Halo 3 and as anyone would agree to. That is hardly what I consider milking it.

Also keep in mind that it would be absolutely idiotic for MS to stop making Halo games. Halo is Microsoft's Mario. It's never going to go away as long as they are making games because it will always be profitable.

seeing as how he survived in the spaceship, and is in a stasispod, floating around in space. They only have to find the rescue beakon and then find the ship and wake him up.

If you dont know what happened to Master Chief (well, now you do tongue.gif) , I suggest you play the last mission on Halo 3 on Legendary difficulty and then wait for the Credits to end wink.gif

So they're going to continue to make the most over-rated franchise in history, continuing the trend of making Console ******* who think they are some amazing player who is the worlds best?

Halo is what ruined the FPS Players of this generation. Not Counter-Strike, not Call of Duty, it was Halo.

Halo is everything that is wrong with the modern FPS. It needs to suck and die.
