I've heard lot of things about an "early" refresh for the HD7000 in the beginning of this year (January/February) but everything was confirmed being false or rumours just fadeout.

Kepler being rumoured for late Q3 // early Q4 I can imagine the HD8000 should come earlier if AMD wants to take back the performance crown (and my money).

With 28nm supply shortage supposed to be solved this summer (Q3) it looks like it is a good time to drop a refresh being clocked higher with minor tweak to attenuate the price deflation on the current 28nm generation.

So yea, make your guess while you are here and if you got some recent news for next generations drop it there tongue.gif

Q1 or Q2 of next year is my guess.

Here is how I see it going down.
7990 q2 and 8000 q3 if all goes to plan other wise they will be pushed back a Q. Which is quite likely with the way the silicon is going at the moment.
gtx 690 or some refresh q4 to combat the 7990 and 8000 with the gtx700 q1 2013.

Then 2013 Q4 we will probably see some re-series 8000 and gtx700 labeled a series high with high clocks and less power usage before the race on to 22 or 16nm starts.

They really will keep going, at least until someone comes out with carbon-based semiconductors or optical circuits and they all get owned...

Yea, I've just read something about AMD planning to "relaunch" the 79XX series with 1100 base clock. Looks like some rumours weren't that far off redface.gif

Q4 late // early Q1 2013 for AMD and Nvidia not before Q1 2013 I see it now.
