I guess I didn't mean wait till actual release to see. I meant there will probably be more info comming up to clarify everything. It will show how much they care if they do listen to all the complaints. The original petition helped get the game to PC, one may help get GFWL removed and others may get some things like these added before release.

If none of this is considered or changed before release, I believe they just saw $ from the first petition to get the game to the PC and really didn't care if they take the easiest path to releasing it. And don't tell me that "we" should be lucky it is on PC and "we" asked for it. "I" do not feel lucky to get a console game on PC and "I" did not ask for it to be ported to PC. Not every PC gamer cared if it came to PC or not. That does not mean that I will not buy it. If it has at least resolution options and not capped at 30fps, I will probably buy it then.

The fanboys/apologists are really annoying.

Maybe you're just somewhat unobservant, given that I addressed their reply to my asking not more than two posts above the post I made that you're replying to now.

Given that the article you quoted DOES NOT MENTION 720p or 30FPS, would you like to show me where th devs say the game is locked at 720p and capped at 30fps?

Then there is this as I've stated below.

I still dont even believe the single Famitsu source says that apparently the game is locked to 720p and 30fps, especially when the Famitsu source never once mentions "720p" or "30fps".

All that is said is that there will be no change to resolution and something related to 60 fps. Even if they are saying it wont be 60fps, since when is "not 60" the direct equivalent of "locked to 30"?

Not to mention that Japanese is hardly a language that is directly translatable to English.

"No change to resolution" could mean that they are not adding hi-res texture packs for PCs that can handle mega visuals like Crytek/DICE did for Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3.

Using this translator, proves the lack of direct translation ability perfectly as this one states:

There be not a change in definition

I just sincerely wish a forum focused on scientifically proving testing methods and theories before determining that X is indeed X, could have the patience to stop running around like a herd of sheep screaming "rabble rabble rabble" every time some site/blog/forum post says something geared specifically to turn them into said herd of screaming sheep.

Now please, show me where exactly the devs say the game is locked to 720p and capped at 30fps.

Exactly

We do not have to settle for subpar effort when other devs are willing to work very hard for us to buy their game, I am not particularly picky; I do not expect dx11 or extra textures for a pc release of a game but expect the basics.

He didn't mention 720p or 30 FPS... are you just quoting everyone in the thread and spamming that generic response?

His reason for being upset is due to him believing the game is locked to 720p and capped at 30fps which you can see on the last page. I asked him there where he saw the devs say such things and am asking again now as he continues to be disappointed.

And you know........given that basically this whole thread is now about not much else than people complaining about the devs apparently saying the game is locked at 720p and capped at 30fps, I'm asking people where htey have seen this info so I can see it too.

I am yet to be shown.

La Noire was locked at 720p and 30fps on PC because that was what the engine was designed for. Otherwise things glitch out in the game.

The information is listed during an interview with Famitsu, a prominent Japanese game magazine. From Software and Namco Bandai are both Japanese companies iirc so it would make sense that they would talk to a Japanese magazine.

Just because you cannot read Japanese does not mean the information does not exist.

Uh, LA Noire wasn't locked @ 720p on PC. It even supported multi-monitors. IT had graphical options.

And you could hack it to 60FPS and it went super smooth.
