[Rock, Paper, Shotgun] Dark Souls PC: Prepare To Sigh - Page 4

I read the resolution comment as them not including hi-res assets, making it like most PC versions of console titles.

They bring it to PC offering the same great game that console owners have had and PC gamers wanted. They include extra content to boot.

Who said this is for someone that's already played the game, or has a console? I imagine a good number of PC players who were asking for this port to happen had no way of playing it until now. This is for them. People buying the game a second time is a bonus.

Yes, they are. (And no, they aren't). They've said that adapting the controls to keyboard and mouse has been difficult and are recommending a controller, but they're working on it.

Good. We don't need people pirating games thinking they're making some sort of statement, or that they deserve to play a game for free because it doesn't meet their standards.

another 30fps port?
For all those people saying "Heck guys be thankful! We're lucky we're even getting it on PC"

You know they aren't doing this because people petitioned saying they want it. They're doing it because all those signatures on the petitions = $$$

If they actually cared about the pc version they would show it by making it look somewhat like a pc game.

I have this game for PS3, besides it demon's soul and the Infamous games I have not played another console game in at least the last 2 years. My brother and I were both going to get this on release day if it was on Steam but if I cannot at least change the resolution I will not buy it. I cannot stand to play a game at a non-native resolution.

Wow, what a half-assed port. And don't give me the business about additional content. Big deal if there's new content. What fun is it if the rest of the experience is half-heartedly ported over?

It's a direct slap the face.

That's exactly what it is.

God forbid someone ever thought of buying this game for it's gameplay.

This is xenoblade chronicles:
261

This is Final Fantasy XIII:
375

Xenoblade looks like a turd in comparison to Final Fantasy XIII, but most fans of the JRPG genre agree that its gameplay is far superior thus making the game fun to play regardless of what it looks like.

I dont want to install Dark Souls to see what it looks like at 1080p/60fps, I want install it so I can play it and enjoy the gameplay.

Principals are more important than game play. There are more than enough good games to play, from companies that aren't pissing me off.

then why the hell is it taking until end of August to release a straight port without any PC standard features? Seems weird to me..

Where is the petition for this? I can live with GFWL but being locked at a certain resolution and framerate is just ridiculous. I dont care how good the game is I will not buy it.
