You're seriously accusing him of translating poorly? Based on what? Not to mention what you quoted is barely relevant considering the discrepancy of specificity between the two statements. "It won't run at 60 FPS" is worlds apart from "we know there are frame-rate issues".

They may look great, but to many of us 30fps is just too choppy. It seems to get amplified when you sit close to the screen like on your average PC.

well thats certainly a let down. Little kb and mouse support + GFWL + no resolution change its like namco wanted this game to fail on pc just to shut us all up when they pull up the sales figures next time they release a game. Itll be like

namco: No look at the dissapointing sales that was out for dark souls.

I don't get what's so difficult about mouse/keyboard control scheme. I can't think of a single PC port or multi-plat release that doesn't have mouse/keyboard support, so why is it so difficult for the Dark Souls team to make this happen? This whole thing just seems like laziness on the publisher's part. Asking for a PC release of the game is implicitly the same as asking for a beefed up version that takes advantage of PC-unique features, like mouse/keyboard support and 60 fps and graphics options. If all they're delivering is literally the same exact console experience (with console DLC included but so what), then I don't even see who the target audience here is. Do people realize that this game is a sequel? If you don't own a console, you didn't play Demon's Souls, so why even bother playing Dark Souls on PC? If you do own a console, you already own the game. doh.gif

The only difficult thing for me when I tried playing with an adapter on the PS3 was the amount of buttons. Since there's 4 attack\block keys, you can't just use right click/left click. Also some mice don't scroll well enough to use the mousewheel to change spells/consumables, which you need to do on the fly. That could definitely be an issue for PC players.

So... Let's freak out, start a petition, damn the thing to hell if it includes GFWL. But if it doesn't have keyboard + mouse support, gui options, everything that would make it an actual PC game regardless if it was ported then it's a "Meh, that's ok, at least it's coming."

PC gamers scare the living hell out of me sometimes.

Yep, I can't believe people say that we owe these developers for releasing games. It's a two way street, they make 'em, we buy 'em. Everybody wins, except when a game gets released that's not up to par. If they really don't enable the PC options that have been standard for years I think $29 is a bit much to ask
PC gaming is certainly more flexible than console gaming but it wouldn't kill or bankrupt the devs to add a little more functionality from the get go.

You're forgetting one thing.. This game wasn't meant to be a PC game. It has already been released and was designed from the ground up to run and look the way it does on consoles. They didn't even have plans of releasing it for PC from the start..

We're getting what we asked for. That's why we should be happy.
