[Rock, Paper, Shotgun] Dark Souls PC: Prepare To Sigh - Page 9

Also some mice don't scroll well enough to use the mousewheel to change spells/consumables, which you need to do on the fly. That could definitely be an issue for PC players.

I find the numerical buttons on top of the keyboard to be enough scrolling for an average gamer, for hardcore ones macro keys. I find it hard to believe that a console controller would be better then a mouse +kb in terms of selecting spells and consumables.

Also, you guys seem to be forgetting that properly making a PC version is difficult especially for a company that develops games mostly for the consoles. The team likely does not have enough experienced programmers to truly make it into a PC version, so that could be why. Otherwise, they'd have to hire more people to make a true PC version out of it. I know this because I have experience in porting games to PC, and it is NOT an easy task.

I mean, yeah... if you have a crappy mouse, you're going to have problems playing any PC game. As for 4 attack & block keys... shift/click.

Yeah, yeah be glad you get it at all...sure why not...I would love to use the same excuse with my old college professor for when I turned in a half assed, below average paper...Just be glad you got that damn thing I might have said, forget his expectations. Really though this crap needs to stop in PC gaming, it's nothing more than quickly throwing out a quick product for a quick buck. Back to intro to business class. Lets add in an extra boss or two so people think that we put more effort into it and make it more attractive to buy. Don;t really care since I already played enough of the console version, however it's just getting old this gen seeing this sort of crap.. Too the point that PC gamer's are used to it and don't even care.

Except the paper, in this case, has already been handed in and has been given a really good grade. It's kind of hard to compare this situation to school because it would be like having to take this already good paper, changing its format to fit another class and trying to get a decent grade from a different professor, which in reality is kind of a lazy thing to do except in this case the other professor who wants the paper that's from the other class? The professors, of course, being the two different gaming communities and the paper being the game. That's just confusing.. tongue.gif

This isn't a PC game.. It's a console game. I could totally understand if this was a multiplatform game to begin with, but it wasn't.. It was designed with only consoles in mind and the thought of PC didn't come up until after. This is why I really don't expect much more than a port and I'm still happy because I wouldn't get to play the game otherwise. Well I guess I could get it on Xbox, but I would actually be getting less of an experience from that because my TV absolutely sucks.

Why even do it if they aren't going to put any effort into it?

You're right. Let's start a petition to tell them that they shouldn't port it and that we don't want it anymore. xD
