Best cases for preventing dust buildup?

Thread Starter
Just wondering what cases have the best dust control, and how well do they actually work. Are there any cases that after a couple months without being opened youll find only a small amount of dust? And do they usually have to sacrifice on other things? Thanks

I've had great luck with my 600T and my Demciflex filters. Almost no dust, not sure if it's possible for a truly dust free case.

How often do you take out and clean the filters?

To prevent dust build up, model your case airflow with either balanced or positive pressure. Positive pressure is when you have more intake fan than exhaust fan, negative pressure is vice versa. Balanced pressure is when you have equal amount of intake and exhaust fan.

Add filter to intake fan. I clean these filters on weekly basis.

I think Silverstone cases like the FT02 and the RV02 have a lot of positive pressure to prevent dust buildup. They also have separate fan filters for each fan

IMHO it all depends on your environment, carpets, drapes, cushions adds to dust build up no matter how much you set up your fans. You might have luck by using filters with finer holes but still this will accumulate dust, well at least on the filter and not too much on the internal parts of the case.

The best thing that you could do is by cleaning the filters like every week (depends on how much dust were talking)

how would an all exhaust set up perform? this would keep dust from being pulled in by the intake fans, but would it affect the temps at all?

If I'm not mistaken, all exhaust means alot of negative pressure, which is a no go. You'd be dragging dust into the case, and it'll stay in there.

Or am I completely off here?
