DD-WRT Problems

Thread Starter
I have a D-link DIR 601 that I've flash DD-WRT firmware on. It's been running it for a about half a year.

There have always been a few problems that I have never taken the time to resolve. Recently, the problems have been getting more frequent:

-There will be random times where the router loses its internet connection. On all devices in the network, the Internet is inaccessible but the router's lights are all green and the DD-WRT main page shows that it is connected to the Internet with no problems. This occurs about once a day.
-Whenever I'm using a P2P torrent application, my connection will go dead within 5 minutes.
-Occassionally the wireless network will disappear momentarily. On all wireless devices connected to the network, it takes about a minute for the network to show up again and I have to reconnect to it. After reconnection, the Internet is accessible without incident.

Help is greatly appreciated.

I'm compelled to indicate that there was a reason it was a $20 router..

1) Are you simply basing this off of the fact that the router's WAN interface has a public IP address?
2) Limit your amount of connections to something lower on the torrent client. What do you have configured for maximum connections on the router?
3) Likely unrelated, but how saturated is your area with wifi?
